About the event

Nigeria’s Supply chain is very important to its economy and is currently growing. Research suggests that the logistics sector grows by 4% every year. This growth is largely due to the boom of ecommerce in recent years but a lot can be said for the agricultural sector as well. The agricultural sector is a crucial part of the economy contributing 26.84 % of the nation’s GDP. However, this is the sector that tends to feel the effects of supply chain infrastructure deficiencies. These deficiencies cause losses and are encouraging an increasing price of logistics and therefore an increase in price for the final consumer.

As such, 8BM is collaborating with AFEX, OnePort and Warenet to start a conversation that will shed light for the challenges the supply chain sector is encountering and the potential solution.

We are inviting stakeholders in the industry to come and participate in our conversation Supply Chain infrastructure in Nigeria: Challenges and the way forward on Tuesday the 26th of April 2022 at 2:00PM.

The goal of this seminar is to explore the current status, challenges and needs of the sector from varying perspectives and experiences, and using these to prepare actionable and attainable solutions that will boost the economy and help the average Nigerian.
